Laura Ring is the Founder and Managing Member of Cloud Tax Matters. In this role she oversees the formation, advisory and tax compliance of companies growing and forming in the US. With a background in servicing and working at both for profit and for purpose organizations, Laura is able to bring her over 25 years of experience to ensure companies are both compliant on required obligations and leveraging financial best practices.
Prior to founding Cloud Tax Matters, Laura spent over a decade at top accounting and tax firms, most recently at Aprio Cloud as the Director of Tax and Global Small Business. She was part of the team at HPC CPAs that grew from 5 people to over 50 in four short years prior to getting acquired by Aprio. Laura was also a tax advisor at Metcalf Davis CPAs and Anderson Tax.
Committed to entrepreneurs and CEOs, Laura served as the VP of Strategic Relations for early-stage venture firm Castile Ventures and at PWC, Laura advised early stage companies on the venture capital process. Laura brought her business acumen and dedication to helping others to the roles of the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Telecom Council, Director of Development for both Good Will Hinckley and the Junior Achievement of New England where she was particularly happy to support the organization that first introduced her to business as a junior high student outside of Chicago.
Laura currently serves as a board member and treasurer for Candorful, an organization supporting our returning Veterans. She has served on the boards of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge, Atlanta and the International organization along with the International Institute of Boston and the New England High Tech Foundation.
Laura has a Masters in Tax from Suffolk University, a Masters’ in Finance and Operations from the MIT Sloan School and a BS from the University of New Hampshire. Like many of the digital nomads she has as clients, Laura leverages the cloud to work most frequently from New England, the South, West Coast and outside the US wherever the sun is shining more than not.

Adam is a tax advisor with Cloud Tax Matters. He is a certified public accountant licensed in Georgia. Adam works with business owners, executives, and entrepreneurs through the life cycle of their companies including federal and state tax planning and compliance. Additionally, Adam works with philanthropic individuals and charitable organizations to ensure legacies are left and missions are met. Adam believes that the focus on the client is the best approach in any engagement.
Prior to joining Cloud Tax Matters, Adam spent 11 years with Warren Averett in its Atlanta tax division working on all things tax including IRS examinations, state tax notices, trust planning and succession planning.

Tom Haydock provides tax planning and compliance support to Cloud Tax Matters’ clients. While the tax preparation process can sometimes be cumbersome, Tom’s goal is to make the process seamless while ensuring full compliance. This may include tax and strategy planning throughout the year to better prepare our clients for the tax season.
Prior to joining Cloud Tax Matters, Tom had a successful career in the business world. He’s worked with organizations preparing their financial data throughout the year. His passion outside of tax advising is skiing in the mountains, playing golf and spending time with his family.
